The vessels of Sailing Academy were carefully chosen to promote the best conditions for learning and competitiveness. Who chose light sailboats, easy to maneuver and control, are the ideal option for those who want to start sailing and for those who focus on regattas.

The Academy is also an excellent alternative for those who want to take peaceful walks on the Tagus River and who do not feel the need to sail on a cruise ship.

Members of this modality can sail as often as they want, without worries on board and now have a set of advantages that only Nautic Squad can offer:

The monthly fee includes all marina fees, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, management, taxes and port fees. In other words, your only concern will be surfing!

THE CLUB

When you join Nautic Squad, you will be able to sail as a skipper and enjoy a set of advantages that only a club can provide:

The association is made with a specific boat, sharing its use with other members who share the same love for the sea. Everyone's monthly time does not exceed the sailboat's availability, which is the same as saying that each member has guaranteed use, every month.

Reservations are made on a web application accessible from a mobile phone or computer, at fixed times, with the day divided into 3 periods: Morning (9am-1pm), Afternoon (2pm-6pm) and Night (7pm-8pm) . It is possible to book continuous periods, up to the maximum of your quota.

All this, through a monthly fee that includes all previous services, insurance, fees and maintenance.

​

Being a member of Nautic Squad gives you the same pleasure as having a boat to go on a quick sunset cruise, a Friday cruise, a weekend rocked by the waves or even a whole week of adventure or relaxation.

Just program the time you want to use the boat in the Nautic Squad app and show up at the reserved time, without further complications. So you'll have more time to browse, without worrying about maintenance, repairs and the like.

To be a member of Nautic Squad you must choose which type of association is the best fit for you, with the following alternatives:

Weekday

6 saídas por mês durante a semana: os marinheiros adoram porque oferece uma opção de navegação muito acessível e durante mais tempo. Pode fazer saídas durante o mês e ainda pode reservar algum tempo para organizar um cruzeiro de alguns dias.

Weekend

3 saídas ao mês durante o fim-de-semana. Esta opção é perfeita para o marinheiro que não tem muito tempo para velejar. Este nível é uma boa maneira para quem quer começar a velejar, sem saber quanto tempo tem para se dedicar e só o pode fazer aos fins de semana.

Full week

9 saídas por mês (6 durante a semana e 3 ao fim de semana). Com este nível de utilização consegue reservar o veleiro durante uma semana inteira, o que durante o verão poderá representar as suas férias de sonho no Algarve numa marina ou a navegar de porto em porto.

Os sócios podem reservar os horários de navegação como saídas individuais ou consecutivas até uma semana inteira.

Full light

6 saídas por mês (4 durante a semana e 2 ao fim de semana). Uma opção mais viável para quem tem pouco tempo, mas que não perde a oportunidade para conseguir usufruir do veleiro durante um dia de semana e aproveitar com a familia e amigos aos fins de semana.

Week light

3 saídas por mês durante a semana: uma versão mais económica que o weekdays, perfeito para quem começou a velejar, sem saber quanto tempo tem para se dedicar e com mais tempo livre durante a semana.

Team - Navegue em equipa

Se preferir, pode optar pela modalidade “TEAM” em que partilha qualquer um destes níveis de associação com um amigo, podendo ambos ser skippers e fazerem saídas em conjunto ou separadamente. Isso torna a navegação mais agradável e permite um custo ainda inferior.

How does the Nautic Squad membership work?

Nautic Squad is like a gym, but on the water and where you can invite family and friends. Pay a monthly fee, use the equipment, clean it when you're done and leave, without all the ownership, maintenance and administrative responsibilities. Nautic Squad provides an online scheduling system and an electronic check-in and check-out system that makes it easy to schedule your sailing time and also ensures that the boat is always clean and ready to go. This method is perfect for anyone wanting a smarter, more realistic way of navigating a new boat.

How many members use the boat?

Due to our different membership levels, our boats have a variable number of members. To ensure availability and exclusivity, the club limits the number of members, the usual 8 per vessel.

How does the association cost?

It depends on the size of the boat and the type of association but we would say much less than you might think. 

Can I try the sailboat?

Sure! Just call to schedule a visit.

What is the duration of the commitment?

Contracts last for 12 months

Are there maintenance fees not included?

No, but if you lose equipment or damage the boat, you will have to pay for the replacement or repair up to the insurance deductible. If you need extra services, ask for the cost.

Can 2 people share the same boat?

Yes, we have a team membership model with a friend. At all times, one of the partners must be on board and cannot lend the boat to third parties.

How long is an exit period?

Every day is divided into three periods: 9 am to 1 pm, 2 pm to 6 pm and from 7 pm to 8 am the following morning. You can schedule one period at a time or combine several for a multi-day trip.

Can I spend the night on the boat?

Yes, as long as you book the night period from 7 pm to 8 am the following day.

Who is responsible for cleaning the boat?

At the end of each use, it is the member's obligation to clean the sailboat and remove the rubbish so that it is available for the next use. At the beginning of an outing, you must CHECK-IN the application, indicating the state in which you found the vessel and CHECK-OUT when finished, indicating the events and possible maintenance needs. CHECK-IN helps hold individual members accountable by reporting the condition of the boat as they board and disembark.

What are the requirements to be a member of Nautic Squad?

All members must have a "Patrão Local" sailing license and a sailing course or experience equivalent to an RYA DAY SKIPPER.
